Free Children's Games

SwopIt

This is a simple small child's game, created with the visual programming language Delphi.   The game involves remembering the shape and colours of an object so that it can be re-assembled when broken into pieces and scattered around the play area.  The pieces are mixed in with similar but differently coloured pieces.

A screen shot of the game is shown below:

The above screen shot shows the the game near the start of the VAN level with the pieces of van strewn about the play area, together with similar but differently coloured pieces.  The player has already selected a shape level and clicked the NEW GAME button to see the original colours of the shape then clicked the START button to scatter the shapes around the play area.

The player now selects what they remember as a piece of the original van and clicks it then click another piece or blank square to make them swop places. This method can then be used to build up the original van - anywhere in the play area.

If you forget the colour of any of the pieces you can click the HINT button which shows a random piece of the original shape - which may or may not be helpful!

When the player is successful a suitable panel appears and they can then click the NEW GAME button to play again with the van having now differently coloured pieces, or click a new level to try a different shape.  There are seven different shape levels to try, starting with 3 piece shapes and ending with a seven piece shape.
