Free Children's Games
Skater
This game for
young
children was created from scratch with the visual
programming language
Delphi. In this game a skater
is trying to get an ice-cream an is so tired that she needs to be
pushed by you to get to the ice-cream in the least number of pushes.
A
screen-shot of the game is
shown below:
Clicking
the NEW GAME button will set the skating rink for the level selected.
The player uses the keyboard arrow keys to push
the skater in the direction of th arrow. In the above
screen-shot the player has just started level 1 with one push of the
skater. The target for the least number of pushes is shown
for each level.
In levels 4, 5 and 6 there is a snowman that moves the same way as the
skater and can be used to help the skater to reach the
ice-cream. A screen-shot of the game in level 4 is
shown below.
Click the snowman with the left mouse button when you want it to move
next or the skater for it to move next. A yellow reminder
panel shows which one is active. The screen-shot above shows
the skater to be active so if the player wants to move the snowman next
he or she will click the snowman and then use the keyboard arrow keys
to move it.
The yellow panel will then show the snowman to be active.
As you can see from the screen-shots, there are 6 levels to play
with a different skating rink layout in each level.
