It occurred to me that new visitors to my Free Children's Games sites would miss these previous topical versions so I have created a archive page here to make them available again. I hope you enjoy playing them as much as I did developing them!
HALLOWEEN HUNT
The player has 75 clicks to find the characters which are positioned at random with each game played. After 75 clicks the total points scored is shown and the player can click the NEW GAME button to try and beat that score. The players best score is displayed after the first game.
As you can see from the blue panel, there are a total of 50 characters hidden at random in the play area. Can you find all 50 and hit the maximum score of 125?

SOUNDS LIKE SUMMER
In this game the player hears a sound which they have to match to one of a few pictures shown on the screen. A screen shot of the game at the start of Level 1 is shown below.
In the screen-shot, the player has clicked the NEW GAME button and has heard a sound so needs now to click the image that they think makes that sound. A panel then appears that confirms it is correct or otherwise not correct. The player than clicks the NEW GAME button to play again. There are 3 LEVELS with more images and more difficult sounds to identify at the higher levels. Can you get 10 correct plays in a row for each level?

EASTER CHICKS
The object of the game is to find as many Easter chicks as you can in the Easter egg shaped area. A screen-shot of the game in play is shown below where the player has just started and already has found 2 chicks with 5 clicks of the mouse button.
The player can click anywhere on the Easter egg shaped area to see if they have found an Easter chick. There are 25 chicks hidden at random in the egg and the player is limited to 75 clicks. After the game ends with the 75th click the player can click the New Game button to play again and this will produce an Easter egg with a different colourful pattern and a different Easter chick hidden in different places in the Easter egg. The player can continue this way to play as many times as they wish, trying to get the maximum possible score of 25 chicks found. The player's current best score is kept and shown as their Max.

A Christmas What is Missing?
The object of the game is to look at and remember a series of Christmas pictures so that you can spot the missing picture when the series is shown again with one missing. A screen-shot of the game in play is shown below where the player has just started in the EASY level and has not guessed the missing object correctly:
At the start, or when the NEW GAME button is clicked in the EASY level, a panel with a series of 3 Christmas objects are shown to look at and remember. In the above screen-shot, the three objects are a teddy with a Santa hat, a Christmas stocking and some holly with red berries. When the PLAY button is clicked this panel disappears and is replaced with a similar panel below it, with the objects in a different order and with one missing (chosen at random). A GALLERY also appears showing all the Christmas objects and the player clicks the one they think is the missing object in the gallery. If the player is correct then a WELL DONE panel pops up, otherwise a HARD LUCK panel appears as in the above screen shot. As also in the above screen-shot, the player can click the REVEAL button to show the original panel of objects and check on what was actually missing. The player can try again by clicking the NEW GAME button to show the next series of objects to remember. Alternatively, the player can choose to play another level by clicking one of the choices in the DIFFICULTY panel. With each increase in difficulty there in an extra Christmas object to remember.

GHOST HUNTER
In this Halloween game there is ghost hunter robot with a special torch light and a haunted house that is in pitch black dark. You have to guide the robot through and around the walls of the house to get to the ghost as quickly as you can. A screen shot of the game in play is shown below:
The screen shot shows the robot in the house and on its way to get the ghost with its special light. This light also illuminates the robot's surroundings to help you guide it using the keyboard arrow keys. A timer ticks away the seconds as you move the robot through the house. If you get stuck and can't see where to go next you can use the BOOST button to increase the spread of the robot's torch for a short while. You can only use the BOOST button a limited number of times to save the robot's batteries.
To test your skill and memory, there are target times to try and equal or beat. You may need a few tries to match the target times! When the robot's torch light has made the ghost disappear the game ends and you can click the NEW GAME button to try and beat your best time and the target time.
There are 3 levels to play with more complex paths through the house and fewer boosts available at the higher levels.

TWIST AND JUMP FOR SUMMER
This game is a moving tiles game with an extra twist and with a summer theme. There are five summer scenes to choose from. The game is shown in the screen shot below at the start with the Swinger Scene chosen.
The left mouse button can be used to swop two tiles by clicking one after the other. The two tiles clicked should then jump across and swop places. The right mouse button can used to turn or twist a tile by clicking on it. Use the two mouse buttons on the tiles until the scene is complete and the right way up. A red panel appears to confirm your success. There are five summer scenes to choose from.

EASTER FUN
This game is a 'spot the difference' game with an Easter theme. There are three Easter pictures to choose from and three levels of difficulty for each picture.
The game is shown in the screen shot above at the start of an EASY level game with the New Chick Picture. As you can see, the differences are in the left-hand picture. Clicking a difference will cause a red 'HIT' panel to appear with a confirming sound, and the place will be marked with a black X. The number of differences found are shown as you progress in the green panel. You should be able to find 10 differences in the EASY and REGULAR levels and 15 differences in the HARD level. A blue panel appears with suitable sound when all the differences are found!

CHRISTMAS LINEUP
The player clicks the New Game button to set the characters at random and then clicks a character next to the empty space to move it to the space to try and form a line of the same characters either vertically or horizontally. They will then disappear to be replaced by different characters in random order. There are 2 different themes to choose from.
In the screen shot of
the game above the Christmas theme is selected and just one more click
is needed to complete the line-up of Santas. This should take
the score to 1 and give a boost to the number of clicks
left. When complete, the line-up of Santas will be
replaced by a random selection of Christmas characters and the game
continues as the player decides which character they are going to try
and move into a vertical or horizontal line next.
So the player keeps repeating these line-ups to get as many line-ups as
you can before you run out of clicks. With each successful
line-up you score a point and get more clicks. The SCORE
records your total number of line-ups in the current game whilst BEST
SCORE records your maximum number of line-ups achieved since the start
of play. Watch out for the immovable Christmas trees (or
snowmen in the Santas' theme) that appear as the game progresses!

HALLOWEEN PAIRS
This is the traditional game of remembering the position of matching pairs of cards when they are exposed and then covered again. In this game the cards reveal halloween characters and pumpkins. A screen shot of the game in play is shown below.
The object of this game
is to remove all cards in the lowest number of clicks of the mouse.
When you click a card its character or pumpkin will be exposed for a
short time. You then have to click its identical pair with your next
click to remove them both.
The screen shot shows a game at the EASY level and Halloween theme with 6 cards (3 pairs) left after 4 clicks have been used to identify and remove one pair. The backs of the cards show a halloween picture of a blue witches hat and her broomstick. Clicking one of these cards will show the hidden halloween character for a short time, then the player must click the card that shows its identical pair to make them disappear. The player must then try and clear all the cards with less than the 12 clicks that is shown as the minimum number of clicks from previous tries at this level and with this theme.
There are three levels of difficulty to play, with more pairs to
remember at the higher levels. In each level you can choose
the theme of halloween characters or pumpkins with a coloured
background or bare pumpkins which have no background colour for a
harder game.

KITES
This game is a development of my Tangled Fishermen's Lines Game. It features tangled kite-flier's lines on a hot and windy summers day on the beach. A screen shot of the game is shown below.
Click the Draw button to draw the tangled lines, then trace them to try and determine which numbered kite belongs to which coloured kite-flier. Enter the number in the Answers box and then click Reveal to see if you are correct. The tangled lines are set at random so some tangles are more difficult than others. See how many Wins in a Row you can get!
There are three levels of difficulty with the Easy level shown in the above screen shot and then there are longer kite lines in the next (Regular) level. In the Hard level you have a limited time to untangle the lines as every fifteen seconds or so a strong wind blows to re-tangle the lines so that you have to start again!

EASTER EGGS
This game is based on the well known game of moving tiles. Click the New Game button to set the tiles at random. Click a tile to move the tile to the space to try and form a picture of a decorated Easter egg.
The game is shown in
the screen shot above which shows parts of the egg in position and four
other parts which you need to get into position to complete the picture
of an Easter Egg. There are 4 different eggs to choose from
and three levels of difficulty:
EASY - where tiles can be moved from any position.
REGULAR - where tiles can only move one space, either
diagonally/left/right/up/down.
HARD - where tiles can only move one space left/right/up/down.

HALLOWEEN - MAKE THEM GO!
Creatures and objects that come out at Halloween time must be made to disappear before they cause trouble! You can make them disappear by bringing like objects or characters together on the same line. Click the blue arrow with the mouse to make them move in that direction. They all move together so the walls have to be used to make one or more move relative to the others. The object of the game is to make all the objects disappear in the least number of clicks. There are 8 levels to play and new characters appear in later levels. Can you beat the lowest number of clicks known for that level?
